Purpose of Hygienists in Independent Practice Club:

The mission of this organization is to improve hygienists' access to information & resources that can expedite the creation of successful, independent, dental hygiene practices... to better serve the needs of the masses of dentally underserved people in our communities.

This blog consists of my personal chatter containing things that might benefit you in some way. Perhaps you'll find useful bits of practical information.... or perhaps you'll find this a motivating site. I hope you do! Oregon's citizens need you to get out there and start administering care. So many people find traditional care out of reach. But now they have hope of consistent preventive and therapeutic care.

The nuts of bolts of how to put your business together will NOT be contained in this blog..... however the Hygienists in Independent Practice Network can help you get the resources you need. Come to a meeting and/or get free or low-cost consulting from the experts that have been helping us.

To your freedom to succeed!

What it Takes

1) Do your business research. Go here to find out where to start.

2) Plan your business. Use experts. They aren't necessarily expensive and can be worth their weight in gold.

3) Stay motivated. No one can be perpetually brilliant and dynamic in a vacuum. Seek out colleagues and networks who will support and inspire you and keep you moving dynamically forward.

4) Move forward toward your dream every day. Some days you will get SO MUCH done. Some days not so much, but you will arrive at your goal if you at least take a tiny Baby Step every day.
